Robert W. Morrison, a native of Orlando, Florida, attended local primary and secondary schools, graduated from the University of Central Florida (B.A.), attended Stetson University College of Law, and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law with honors. While in law school, Mr. Morrison was awarded an Outstanding Participant Award for Moot Court. He is admitted to the State Bars of Florida and Georgia. Mr. Morrison obtained and holds the “AV” rating in the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell Rating System for attorneys, which is the highest rating of such organization. Mr. Morrison is also recognized as a “Preeminent Lawyer” by such organization.
Mr. Morrison began practice in Orlando, Florida and practiced with several prominent Orlando law firms until he started his own firm.
Initially, Mr. Morrison's law practice emphasized business, commercial, and construction litigation, with a substantial involvement in business and real estate transactional matters, and probate administration. For many years his practice has involved the areas of real estate acquisition, construction, development, sales, leasing, financing, litigation, condemnation and title insurance; administrative law; mortgage lending; affordable housing; and land use and environmental matters. He also represents national, regional and community banks and other lenders in residential and commercial mortgage lending, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy proceedings, and has had significant involvement in connection with general banking matters. Mr. Morrison was Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Real Estate Law.
Mr. Morrison has been active in community affairs, having served as a mayoral appointee to the City of Orlando Loch Haven Park Board, is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Orlando Program, was a longtime Director of the Kiwanis Club of North Orlando, and served for many years as a Director of the Community Service Center of South Orange County, Inc.
Mr. Morrison has been active in the Orange County Bar Association, having served as the Chairman of the Real Property Section, and having served as a mediator in the Citizen Dispute Settlement Program. He is also a member of the Florida Bar Sections on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and has been involved with various American Bar Association committees.
